Grape Fizz Crocheted Llama

The idea for this came from images I’d seen in magazines from the 1970s that were inspirational in their own right, the main one being a handmade Christmas gift guide I thought was genius! I could have sworn I’d seen a llama somewhere in one of them, but even if I can’t find it again the idea stuck and now here we are. I had already made a couple different llamas, so I thought this would be a nice variation. The name of the center yarn of each square was called “grape fizz” and it was the last of it that I had, but it was just enough to start the squares for this little fellow. The variegated colors of the grape fizz yarn provide pretty burst of color all around and no two blocks are the same. Varying shades of purple were used to finish out the squares and put them all together into this blocky, but snuggly, little llama shaped pillow (or stuffed animal depending on how you look at it.)
